So here we are met with this little girl. She’s dressed in her attire of sorrow holding her umbrella tight. She’s standing smack dab in the middle of a world of confusion and anger. No rain falls, yet she holds her umbrella. She needs more than anything for something to hold onto. The day my life changed and I looked up into the sky. 8 1/2 years later and the song still makes me cry. So, so you think you can tell heaven from hell, blue skies from pain. Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail? A smile from a veil, Do you think you can tell? And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts? Hot ashes for trees? Hot air for cool breeze? Cold comfort for change? And did you exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead-role in a cage? How I wish, How I wish you were here. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
